Princess Died

Jan Dark came to me by moonlight in flowing robes of white
with a fast fashion wearing Parisian cosmopolitan girl flavor
under starless skies traveling the thousand lands by candlelight
on a higher calling her blood rose lips recite this prayer

"those flames do not scare me my life is not what it used to be
so i am going to do everything that you did not expect from me
call me a witch and cut me off in traffic covering it up all
in the last day and hour my return will save a world from fall"

missed gazes by shallow eyes that always looked into distance
piercing arrows never flew truer from another finger or bow
huntress of the shadow and light reaching us by moonbeam
a day when every star falls worlds will be lit in her eternal glow

ancient bloodlines crafted a destiny of all of humanity's sorrow
a goddess born of the purest element mistaken for a heretic
a princess reborn destined to be our patron saint of loneliness
in a dying world which will come to life under her blessed caress

a heart like Artemis breaks times infinity every time we suffer
a torch song for all of humanity and those lost and broken lovers
drops of crimson and clear shatter every real and imagined fear
the moon forever near, will always understand, will always hear

the price offered a soul bartered she was willing a hundred fold
dying alone suffering bled cut black heart suffocate poison glue
to suffer through every life lived a tragedy in every story told
dying alone unable to love those most near and no one ever knew
