Walk into the sea
Keeping my feet on the ground
The water rises around me
"How far could I go?",
I ask the Delphic Sibyl
One day the star will be seen
First only as lights from the sea
Then it will rise and burn the ocean
And all the world will see
As it rises into the sky
0's and 1's
If I could I would fight back gravity
Wishing for stars but settling for land
Swimming comes automatically when afraid to drown
Even if our ancestors crawled out of the sea
There are somethings we will always be afraid of
I want to visit creation in my dreams
To see the first lights that existed before the sun
The world's illumination when the Earth was still young
It might seem that way again for those waiting to upgrade
But some of us are afraid of technology
To medieval minds the world was old and falling apart
They could not dream of building the wonders
Of the ancient world
How much longer can a world of stone stand
Compared to one built of zeros and ones?
