Treasure Map

I saw the fire in your eyes
knowing you’d never be satisfied
with someone like me

You once told me how
there just had to be more
in this world to see

I did not tell you
that my world
was sitting right across from me

Staring into your eyes
I could plainly tell
they didn’t search for mine

Looking down at our hands
how difficult
for me to let go

When my heart fell
you laughed and said
I was not adventurous

To find their treasure
some just have to
travel farther I guess
