Page two-sixty-four
It was last year when I first saw her in the laundry room
There with her cat lost in a book and gone all too soon
Hoped for weeks to see her but never found my chance run in
Finally when the seasons changed I did get to see her again
She had the same book so I stood before her puzzled and asked
If it was actually that good or if it was such a hard task
She laughed and looked somewhere far while twirling her hair
Eyes so far away I wondered if she was really even there
Looking much closer I thought that I saw a tiny sparkle
She then smiled so wide with a happiness she'd never let go
She said it was her favorite and asked if I had read it before
I shrugged no so she read me all of page two-sixty-four
It was then and there I knew I had fallen deeply in love
Little did I know she always lived in the apartment above
