There is a castle down the block

thirty years ago to this day
a man fell hurting his head
some said he was never the same
finally even his wife had left

spending time under the sun
on outside walls putting stucco
neighbors shook their heads
until he revealed his castle

trumpets blared some early AM
welcoming all to the coronation
most arrived mad and unpleasant
but the king had one beheaded

next came a moat then those sharks
this was of course all imaginary
but defending the castle he did
til he died just sad and lonely.
