The world is not at all it seems
Surprises lie in empty spaces
Pay close attention to the seams
That hold together happy faces
It is not impossible to relate I know
To my family but I feel so lonely
In a garden something special grows
Though no one knows so it's just for me
I would rather share what I am thinking
But who would listen so the flowers wither
In this social isolation that has me sinking
Still I will travel from there to hither
And find my friends or let them find me
A cat, some ghosts, and people even stranger
With those eyes how can they see
We will do well as long as we do not linger
