Paying Back The Birds

i sang to the birds today
i was just happy that way
tonight i will sing to the lawn
and dance till the moon is gone

it will not matter how i sound
for nothing could ever be wrong
when we allow our souls to sing
so safe inside our unbroken ring

this is how things should be
all world's happiness inside of me
fullness of heart we shall pursue
and the only thing missing is you!
